Tarago Water Treatment Plant - Victoria

Working with the site specific requirements of this large infrastructure project, Pyropanel designed and supplied a number of over sized acoustic doors to reduce sound transmission from the equipment buildings on site.

The Tarago Water Treatment plant is a large scale infrastructure project located in the Gippsland region of eastern Victoria.  The site houses a number of buildings containing equipment to treat water from the Tarago Reservoir before pumping it to local towns located in the local area, and the Mornington and Western Port regions.

The project is being delivered by Baulderstone Hornibrook and United Group, and Pyropanel and United Doormakers worked with local consturction company Kubale Constructions to deliver and install these high performance doors.

Pyropanel worked closely with designer GHD and the builders to specify a number of over sized acoustic door system woudl be suitable for the performance requriements.  These doors were originally tested for an acoustic rating of 40Rw, but were then re-engineered and upgraded so that they could be supplied as a pair of doors, most over 5m high and 3m wide.  Also supplied were numerous single acoustic doors straight from the range of Pyropanel acoustic doors, as well as a number of very specialised non acoustic doors manufactured by United Doormakers.

Pyropanel would like to express thanks to Baulderstone Hornibrook, United Group, GHD, and Kubale Constructions for the professional approach that was taken from the design stage through to completion of this project.
